How long are the accelerator programs?
The Singapore Food Bowl program is a 12 week virtual program. It's design is constructed around short, structured sessions for participants to get the most out of an accelerator experience, while accommodating the busy schedules of founders and participants. Participants should expect to commit 1-2 hours a day for video calls and programming work, 3 days a week, for the duration of the program.
The GROW Accelerator is a six-month program conducted in 2 parts: an initial 12-week intensive program followed by a further three months working on your business growth plan with the help of mentors; coaches; and access to GROW’s global network. Participants are not required to be in Singapore for the second 3 months (although they will have free access to the coworking space at One-North during this period).
Will I need to relocate to Singapore to participate?
Singapore Food Bowl is designed as a 100% virtual program so all you need to participate is a device and a decent internet connection! We will be conducting sessions over a mix of Zoom, Google Meet and other online platforms.
The GROW Accelerator on the other hand is an in-person program. During the initial 12-week intensive program you will be required to be in Singapore for a minimum of 5 days per month (i.e. approximately 17 days in total). You will also be required to participate in an assessment at the end of the 12-week intensive and of course, Demo Day which will also be held in Singapore.
Does GROW pay for my travel and accommodation while I am in Singapore?
No, we do not cover your travel expenses, but we can help you find a very cool and affordable accommodation with our program partners whilst you are in Singapore.
Do I need to be a registered company to apply?
Not at the time of application, but for our Singapore Food Bowl and flagship GROW Accelerator programs, you will be required to establish a registered entity before the program commences (can be in your home country; or Singapore).
What is the min/max number of participants per team?
We would ideally like the Founders or members of the management team to attend the program. We can accept up to a maximum of 3 participants per team.
What are some other benefits of the GROW accelerator programs?
- A key benefit to startups participating in a GROW program is the access to our partner network across the region for: customer validation, prototype testing, tech trials; as well as access to corporate sponsors; test labs and deep-tech expertise in GROW research partners
